Whilst looking what can be changed through vagcom I noticed that the LED daytime running lights can be adjusted for brightness (besides stopping them dimming during turn signal) and they are factory set at 8 or 9% of their capacity!!

Anyone had theirs turned up to "red eye syndrome for on coming traffic"

I haven't found any info on turning on the rear LED's for daytime like Scott mentioned he wanted. I would also activate that as well is anyone knows how.

With Ross-Tech (VCDS)
Enable Rear Tail Lights on with DRL
[09 - Cent. Elect.]
[Coding - 07] -> Long Coding Helper -> Byte 2
Bit 7 - DRL's via Tail Lets Active (1 = Active)

Adjust LED brightness
[09 - Cent. Elect.]
[Security Access - 16] (enter security code. One of the default codes is- 20113)
[Adaptation - 10] -> Channel 3
Enter new value for LED brightness 8-100
Default the LED's are only 8-9% or brightness.
Don't you just love this site and the guys on it. Thanks for the info Johon

Thats interesting as the DRLs are much brighter than sidelights mode...
Unless this is one of those backwards 8 actually = 92% brightness?

forgot to mention has anyone come up with a solution regarding keeping the back light LEDs on with the normal daytime running lights?

Thats what Wilfs second post shows in this thread... You'll need a vagcom buddy.
