I have solid silver seats in another Audi and yes you get transfer but 2-3mins with a leather cleaner every 4-5months and you're fine.
its really not a problem.

Thanks Snow Man. The more I look at the two-tone seats, the more I like them. I particularly like the Moon-Silver Black seats but had light seats in a Mercedes a few years ago and they were a disaster.I have solid silver seats in another Audi and yes you get transfer but 2-3mins with a leather cleaner every 4-5months and your fine.

This is true and I do wear other things...I'm not head to toe denim all day like a cheap 70's porn star, but sometimes i do like to wear jeans! On that note, I'll get my coat...You could wear something other than blue jeans?
Yes but I think the metal studs and chains will just damage the seat. I did try to find the option for the mirror ball but couldn't find it!My last car had cream leather that got marked by my black leather belt. Never came out.
Defeats the object using a seat cover so how about wearing white leather pants
I have black/silver on mine and whilst a little concerned went for them anyway. No sign of colour transfer yet, but still very early days. The seats look greatHi all - this has been discussed a thousand times before on every car forum out there but not having had light coloured seats in an Audi, I was wondering if anyone has the black/silver seats available in the SQ5 and if denim colour transfer is a concern/issue?
Guys, thanks the responses. From everything you say, it either isn't much of a problem or is easily resolved which is great because if I ask the other half not to wear jeans, I'll be shot! I am nearly set on moving to Lunar Silver. Have any of you got any pictures you can share of how this looks? Thanks.I shied away from a light coloured interior for the Evoque because of dye transfer concerns and then discovered that baby wipes solve the problem if it happens and Gtechniq L1 Leather Guard is a good defence in the 1st place.
So on that basis I ordered the Lunar Silver inserts and they look gorgeous - makes the SQ's interior a really nice place to be. Before deciding on an SQ I was going to order an Q5 3.0 TDI SLine and decided to go down the Exclusive Line interior road with light coloured inserts anyway.
Thanks! And good luck. Just seen your other post re paint. That's going to make me look twice as hard when I eventually collect.Sure -when I get my car back later...
Soft clear coat is not good. It'll be quick to show if its a problem when you start to clean it. I've found Audi paint to be good in the past though so odd...You are most welcome - paint work sorted, looks perfect. The feedback from the detailer was that the clear coat is really soft and marks easily - something I need to keep an eye on in the next 2 weeks or so as that could become a real problem. I wondered if Audi had introduced self-healing paint?
The 'Dolphin Grey' I had on my previous A3 was like butter and would mark so easily. Once it got scratched by the flap of a cardboard card board the wind caught itSoft clear coat is not good.
