Hi, new to forum and first post so go easy.

Ordered a Q5 2.0 TDI Sline with some extras through company fleet provider yesterday. Have just been told it could be November (and probably the end of November) before I would see the car as its not getting built just now and so many back orders to fulfill. The only chance of getting one sooner is if someone pulls out of their car which they probably ordered in January.

Am I being fobbed off or is there any truth in this?

Cheers

Am afraid this is the truth, your more likely to find rocking horse poo!!! Was in dealership today and they are now quoting jan11 for orders placed now, maybe worth checking the price wont increase as they are going up 2% as of next tuesday.

Entirely true, lead times are 6 months at best, with some quoting upwards of 9....
That is disapointing. I have 58 plate A4 Sline and remember there was an near unlimited supply of them back in August 08 in some audi storage facility in Tyneside. Just shows how much the credit crunch must have affected Audi as only building to order now. The downside is I'm sure many customers will just not be prepared to wait and they will go elsewhere. Its a no win situation.

Kev,there not building to order they have out sold all of the quota for this year(business is booming in Audi's bank),the Q5 is 2nd best selling model of all time second to the a4.

Thanks and appreciate reply. Supply and demand is the key issue here. If the Q5 is 2nd best selling car why have Audi not planned to build more based on their previous sales/order data. Its obvious I'm frustrated.....

Cheers anyway, good to know not just being fobbed off.
