Car was picked up today at the daelers and doesn't disappoint. Didn't have time for photos today and it was raining anyway.

Car is 3.0 tdi Meteor grey with black leather sports seats, comfort pack, sound pack ( B&O is great and DAB is good too), lighting pack, rear side airbags (should be standard), bluetooth, ipod interface and towbar. The towbar is very impressive the way it swivels out and integrated electrics are smart.

Only drove a few miles today but had to go out again after dark to see what the lights look like. 3.0 tdi feels really powerful and pulls away great, no sign of any hesitation on pick away.

I was sad to give up my freelander today but the Q5 feels so much better put together and has a lot more toys to play with.

I'll post some photos soon.

I have now done nearly 200 miles and still smiling. No issues at all and no regrets yet. The pull from the 3.0 ltr is great it just goes. MPG is low at the moment at 27.5 but its been a lot of short journeys and the engine is still tight.

The only issue which is very minor is when your children drop something in the back seat and it goes between the seets you cant get it back, the seat base doesn't lift to get below it. I hope i dont get any annoying rattles with plastic toys and sweets. B&O stereo with ipod works really well, the steering wheel controls and MMI are all much better than the ipod integration in my Freelander.

I will be towing for the first time next weekend so i will see how it compares with the freelander for towing. The Freelander was the best towcar i've had so the Q5 will need to be very good to better it, the 3.0 ltr should help though.

Still haven't taken any photos but will get round to it soon.
