hi all, this is michael from beijing, china.
i looking forward to buy a Q5 2.0TFSI, it was a battle among GLK300, X3 2.5si, XC60, and new SRX 3.0... in the end the Q5 prevails mainly because it gives you the most for your money. being the only one made in China (the rest are all imports), the price tag is 470,000RMB, at today's fx rate it's about 70,600USD. it's a lot money for a 4 cylinder car, but the rest of the lot would you set you back close to 100,000USD. even at this price you wont get the Sline package, nor the 20inch tires. and to option for the audi drive select and dynamic steering you have to pay 9,000USD in addition... i assume the rest of you have drive select on your models, so can anyone let me know if it's worth the money to get drive select and dynamic steering? thanks. I'm not sure what dynamic steering is, as all Q5's have speed adjusting steering so that when you are parking its super light, and the faster you go the more weighty the steering is.

Dynamic steering is exactly what you described, I think it?s something i can do without, but not sure if drive select is worth the money.

The Drive Select Damper option is worth every penny,
not only does it alter the suspension it also alters the S-Tronic gear change and the throttle response, if you get a chance to try a Q5 with drive select do so and that will convince you. My S-Line S-Tronic had Drive Select Damper option only but as i say it lightens the steering in comfort mode and when in Sport mode the car feels much more stable when you put your foot down.

Would not be without it now.
