I have the iphone 4 glovebox media connection and asked Audi for a iphone 5 lead with lightening connector which apparently they don't offer nor will they in the future so i was just wondering if anyone has had any success with a 30pin to lightening adaptor which works fully ie Charges, Plays Audio etc as i bought one of ebay and its not recognised!

Have you not tried streaming to the AMI BT?
But you can also use the apple converter - this gives you full functionality compared to the iphone4
The older AMIs don't work with the connector - My R8 doesnt, but the rest of the cars are fine.
