So yesterday the SQ5 developed a fault, the gear box would kick down but the engine would rev extremely slowly and, you could feel the power intermittently dropping off then coming back. After turning the engine off for half an hour then starting it again the fault was still present and, now the yellow engine management light was lit...Great.
Called Audi emergency assist this morning to, arrange a technician to diagnose the problem and, after a quick diagnostic check he advised there is a problem with the intake manifold flaps. An hour later the car was collected on a recovery truck and taken to Newcastle Audi.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue with their SQ5?
I have to say the Audi emergency assist service is fantastic, so good i might extend my agreement which is due to expire this June.

Collected the SQ5 today from the Audi garage and, just thought I'd share my findings.
After having the inlet manifold removed and cleaned by the dealer, the car car feels brand new again! It feels so eager to rev and so much more responsive, I didn't realise how much the car had deteriorated as, it is obviously a gradual process. But, it has got me thinking what is to stop the manifold becoming so choked up with gunk etc that, it causes the car to develop a problem? Next time it happens the car won't be under warranty. Should a clean of the manifold not be part of routine maintenance and part of the service requirements? Prevention is better than cause after all.
