More time spent reading manual and you tube reviews than driving however:
Really pleased so far. Just a nice place to be!

Plus points:
Drives really nicely. Comfort/massage/heated steering all good
Luxury comfort
Enjoy the Massage seats
Looks fantastic
Comfort selected for air suspension - very smooth
Ideal for golf clubs and good to be able to lower boot to get all the clobber in post round.
Brilliant sound system
Matrix lighting very good
Extremely clear phone calls

Minor negatives-nothing really important :

Still haven’t nailed my optimum driving seat position yet
Poor fuel economy-probably due to weather conditions and short journeys
Suprised to have to turn switch to heat mirrors and that it’s not automatic
Lack of back of seat storage -seems odd that supposed extended storage is not standard
Changing battery on key fob was more difficult than It should have been
Still too many driving aids to master and a little distracting to implement whilst driving

Questions:
1. The difference between comfort/efficiency and auto drive ? What settings do owners use and why?
2. Am I right that when coming to a stop hold foot brake then pull parking brake then select P on the selector then release foot brake? What is the correct sequence please?

You have a nice car there. You will get used to the driving aids in time. Once you find settings that suit you you will change them less often and the controls fall to hand more easily. I think the storage nets pack should be standard. Fuel economy is definitely much better on a decent run compared to about town.
Q1: The driving modes mostly change the gear change points and accelerator response. Not sure if it changes air suspension as I don’t have that.
Q2: That sequence is correct when coming to a stop prior to switching off the engine. However, once you have engaged the Autohold feature/button and come to a halt briefly whilst driving no other action is required as the brakes will hold you automatically until you are ready to move off again.

Thanks for the advice Bulla -really helpful. Yes the driving modes do change the air suspension set up. I noticed in comfort mode car road over a sequence of speed bumps really smoothly - but as yet I haven’t worked out the comparative effect with Auto and Efficiency modes.
Thanks for the info re the auto hold function. To be honest I had not noticed it. I downloaded a copy of the manual as I was getting fed up with Audi App “timed out” message which stopped me continuing to read the manual. I think my download must have been an American version as the Autohold button was not listed there. Anyway I think the autohold is probably the equivalent function to what I had on my Merc -when stopped at lights etc pressed the brake pedal firmly and “hold” came up on dash. With the Audi the auto hold button has to be engaged from what you say. One thing at am not sure about is why the left hand Autohold would be pressed and not the right hand parking brake button? How do they operate differently please?

The Autohold is a one-time set and forget feature. It stays on all the time so that the brakes are ready to hold you when you stop temporarily in traffic or on a hill. As you say, press the foot brake firmly when stopped and you will see the green brake light lit on the dash. There’s no need to manually engage the parking brake switch (“handbrake” equivalent) unless you are leaving the car. The parking brake when engaged is shown by a red brake light on the dash. You will also hear the servos on the rear discs engage.

The online pdf manuals I found are all North American so have a few key specification differences eg headlights.

Thanks again Bulla -got it. Am assuming once it’s set then after each journey it will still remain set
? Just been looking at a BMW site which clearly shows polarised views on their autohold system .A lot love it -but an equal amount hate it. It seems many prefer the “creep” in traffic jams so turn it off. I am not sure with Audis but others indicate that if you engage Autohold then stop and turn off engine the parking brake will engage and light up too?…

Yes, Autohold remains set until you switch it off. On the Q5 the parking brake only seems to engage automatically when you switch off the engine if you park on a slope. Our Audi Q3, however, does engage every time the engine is switched off which I prefer.
