I went from a Q7 to a Q5, and the Q7 was a hearse !!!

If you need a sympathetic dealer call Matt Wells from Bexley Audi , been my dealer for 13 years, a real diamond

Hi
Nice car to be driving around in,how long will the insurance company let you drive it for, will it be until they pay out or until you get your Q5.
untill i get pay out i think.
so will be with out a car then! ...
But im hoping not for to long but the wating list is so long.
I was told yesterday could be as long as april next year

But going around some other deals with my sob story
with my fingers crossed and a very low cut top on

Hi Kat

Was just wondering if you could get a higher payout based on the inflated price of nearly new Q5s sitting on forecourts, as that is probably the only way you could get one in a hurry?? On the flip side, if it was someone else's fault surely you could keep the hire car for a period equalling the minimum lead time on any premium SUV which must all be a few months, and charge it to them??

Complete aside, we're getting our Q5 cause we're rubbish at packing our A4 Avant now we have a baby and wanted more space and I was told that the Q7 isn't actually as much more spacious as you'd expect over the Q5, given the 'tank' like proportions outside. What do you think?

Thanks, and sorry about the car,

Robbie

Hi Robbie,

Imho the Q7 is a lot bigger than the Q5 on the inside. The rear passenger area is slightly bigger plus a massive boot which I beleive has another row of seats in it.

I'm guessing that the boot on the A4 avant must be about the same size as the Q5 as they share the same platform.

Imho......I think if you need bigger boot space you will either have to put a roof box on the Q5 on the occasions when it is necessary to have that space or make the move to the Q7 and live with it being perhaps unnecessarily huge all of the time.

In the past when I've needed more luggage space for holidays I've always gone the roof box route.....cheaper.

Kat will be able to tell you the difference.

Hi Kat
Sorry to read about your write off. As I and many others no doubt are waiting for our first Q5! Would be nice to hear your views on the options you originally ordered versus what you know now. Any regrets or changes this time round.
