I have had a bit of confusion regarding option changes (dealer's confusion, not mine...) that resulted in a revised quote with the Comfort Pack and Bluetooth Prep on top (which is included in the Comfort Pack). I have pointed this out to the dealer and am waiting for them to correct it but I am now terrified that they will delete the Bluetooth option code from the factory instruction - my concern arising from the fact that the 'Packs' do not have their own order code, they simply consist of the codes of the constituent items - its only the pricing that alters.

So... I want to go through the final order change once it is placed with the factory with a fine tooth comb - but how much detail to expect? is it standard to get a print out or similar of exactly the option codes that have been ordered? or just a list of the names of the options? I'm worried that they might list "Comfort Pack" but have only added the codes for some of the items.

Can people please share their experiences of the paperwork received?

thank you

Not sure if this is what you mean but when I signed my order form there wasn't room for the stuff I ordered so it didn't appear on the form.

Do we get a confirmed printout later?

In my experience (with both Audi and BMW) it is more a case of asking the dealer to keep tabs as the order progresses through the production system. My Q5 was bought "off the computer" as a confirmed car, so I had no input into spec - but in previous experiences (2 x TTs) I was able to ask the dealer to call up my build slot on the computer before the car went confirmed. Both times I was able to make significant spec tweaks (eg I changed a roof colour). I had little or no paperwork other than a copy of the hand written order taken by the dealer.

I would just go in fairly forcefully and ask that they confirm via the system what options are actually on your car (hopefully before it is too late to change)

Not sure if that helps or hinders?

It helps.

I've done a couple of tweaks by phone. But I'm going in tomorrow to get the order physically checked against my list.......just in case the salesman got distracted before he did what I asked for

Good idea I think, but get him to show you details on the screen - and maybe take a photo of it on your mobey just in case
