I recently ordered my Q5 with high Beam assist. Living in the country I mostly drive on B class roads. Can anyone verify if I have made a good choice or have I wasted my money...I find it hard to believe that the sensor will be able to dip the high beam in good ime before blinding other drivers.

I live in the city and use it only occasionally, but when I have it's worked surprisingly well. I think you'll be happy with it.

Hi I have High Beam Assist on my 3.0 S Line and it works just fine. I use a mix of urban A roads and country B roads on my way to and from work and the sensor seems to detect oncoming cars, or the tailights of cars I am catching up very well. It also dips the lights when I enter areas lit by street lamps. It is however sometimes fooled by highly reflective road signs beaming back the glare from those xenons!
