Hi all,

After 6 months of drooling, we finally test drove a q5 yesterday, and after the dealer offered a price and trade in I couldn't refuse, I ordered my q5

Now in just carnt stop thinking what i should have added or not!

I chose the 170 special edition s-tronic, with 3 zone climate, leather/alcentara seats, heated fronts, and tech pack high,

They also sold me auto glym protection and gap insurance that includes all small scratches and dents repaired

What's you opinionnon this? Should i change or add anything?

Thanks in advance

Hi Andy and congrats on the order!

Have you considered the collapsible spare? I think it's worth £100 and is better then a can of foam. Also if you order retrospectively from a dealer they'll charge you in excess of £300 for it.

Personally I'd forgo the autoglym protection but only because I enjoy detailing my own cars. Out of interest how much are you being charged for it, if you don't mind me asking?

Also what colour have you opted for and when can you expect delivery?

Cheers.

Its around £400, but they do say its a lifetime guarantee, and if we cant remove a stain, they will have it sorted at any expense! i never normally buy insurance or protection policies, but spending this much money on a car makes me think,

I have gone for Ibis white, and they say to expect it late september, apparently they have big problems with metallic paint orders at the moment because part of the paint is from japan,

Thanks

Regarding the detailing. The Audi garage (Leeds) quoted me £290 inclusive of VAT to do the Autoglyn Lifeshine. I went direct to a specialist detailer and was charged £250 in total for it. So think £400 is expensive.

I received the Autoglym and Gap insurance free of charge as part of my negotiated deal.

I tried to get it free but they already gave me 6% and a very good trade in for our old car, couldn't really complain

I carnt decide if I should add the black styling and windows now, or folding mirrors! To many decisions
