Hi All,

I have heard a rumour that Audi maybe about to or even have released their 2010 Map Updates for their Sat Nav systems, and these include 7 digit UK post Codes. Not having my hands on my car yet I can't verify. When I test drove a number of Q5's in November they all had 5 digit post code searches (I think).

Is anyone able to verify / confirm / deny/ or rubbish this rumour, for if it is true I shall be ensuring my car comes with the updates as I'm sure many of you guys 'n' gals will.

That would be great if they had done! I sooo miss the 7 digit input on a ?2000 Sat Nav. The big issue is when an address doesn't have a road name. The sat nav insists on you entering a road.... I can sit in the car for 15mins before going anywhere to enter an address!

I didn't realise the Audi nav didn't have a 7-digit postcode function.

I hope they have updated this functionality for the late 2010 models!

Will try and get some info and post back if any news.

Couldn't agree more. We have Sat Nav in our Avant (08) but didn't order for the Q5 because I find it so un-user-friendly. TomTom will live in the car for the occasions its needed again.

out of interest how do updates work to sat nav on Audi's?

Either with respect to the 7 digit post codes or road updates?
