HDD file formats + Remapping

Hi Guys, awaiting delivery of a 3.0 tdi S-line Spec Ed hopefully late Oct and have a couple of questions if any one could help.

1. My guy tells me he is unable to remap the 3.0 at the moment due to Audi locking it up. Any one managed to overide this yet?

2. Noticed a few posts re fitting a remote HDD for music etc. If I download TV progs from Iplayer/internet etc to this drive will it play on the screen as well ? I have the full MMI Hard Drive Sat Nav.

On the remap I would suggest you speak to Abt uk who I beleive are very closely connected to Audi.
If it can be done then Audi will have given them the license to do so.

Just checked. They can do it for you.

Sadly not - only music files supported. You can play DVDs but not on the move.

Many thanks guys.

In that case I will just put my music collection on an SD card then, 16gb should do it. Will also be after VIM & rear DRL's later on if anyone can help on that.

ABT info checked out & hopefully the price will come down from ?1500 by the time it arrives.

You can watch dvd's on the move via a vag com setting.

Looks like Richter can do a remap as well and cheaper than Abt. But I would advise comparing the figures.

Thanks Josh, not sure if they do the 240 BHP version as they are showing 233BHP which is the older engine I believe. I will call them.

I have a feeling the Abt one will be good.

Do you not fancy the super upgraded one from Abt with an upgraded turbo? I bet that goes like a rocket

But sadly very expensive.

Oh yes.... But wife has brought me down to earth reminding me how much this Q5 thingy cost. So the mild 280BHP upgrade will have to do.
