Folks

My nice new s line has devloped a new fault.

My fuel guage shows it is full and it does move. The needle seems stuck.

All the other computer functions are operating fine. Any similar issue or is that I am unlucky?

My Q5 gives me an ave of 42 mpg for 5200 miles and I managed a 49.5 for rural 32 mile run

Also did my first run at +100mph and it goes very well with plenty left for the 130 mph blast

Mine has done this twice now, both times after a fill up at Shell garages. I always seem to get more in when I use Shell garages, irrespective of what car I'm driving, it's as if their cut off system allows more fuel in. The first time, after about 600 miles, it took almost half a tank before it suddenly righted itself, and then last week (now 2000 miles) it did it again on the way back from Edinburgh, but started working again after about 90 miles. As you say, the car knows it's using fuel as the mpg readout is accurate, but the needle seems stuck at max.

My Australian Q5 is only about 600 km old. On the first fill up the fuel gauge stuck at full. Range is stuck at 870 km and won't budge. All the other computer readouts work fine incl. mpg.
Luckily I know what range to expect ~870 km per tankfull so I just fill it up when it gets close on the trip meter.
I wouldn't expect Audi to have any spare parts so I will probably have to wait 3 weeks for it to be fixed.
Let's hope this car is not a friday pm lemon.

It is a bugger trying to do the math. I am told they want the car in with a quarter tank max.I assume so they can drain the tank.

They will be paying for any fuel they waste. A bloody disgrace on a ?34k car the gauge has failed.

A complete off topic issue.

Just bought a great wee Audi TT and got cruise control as a post factor fit. Audi tell me they cannot fit it as they currently do not have the software and it is on back order with no indication of when they can finish the job. Iam told I have all the bits fitted but the coding currently does not work!!!

Balls in my opinion. If they can fit it at the factory they can fit it anywhere

I have to say so far audi support is fu.....ing crap and their head office customer care is even worse. I am really pretty pissed off with audi. Take your money fast and then do not care!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
