Hi all,
Been browsing for a few days.
I'm close to ordering a Q5 S-Line Plus 2.0tdi S-tronic.

I'm having a demo next week to make sure I'm happy swapping from my TT.

I'm intrigued about possible dealer discounts.
Anyone had any good deals?

Ian.

You should push for a circa 10% discount Shoggers, online brokers offer this. A good dealer will match it, if they wont walk away until you find someone who will.

Agree with Chopper. 10% is at least what you should be looking at.

Start with "Drive the Deal" (internet broker) and use their quote to test out local dealerships. Bear in mind all your local dealers may be part of the same group and therefor have a local monopoly (Leeds, Bradford, Harrogate, Huddersfield are all part of the Sytner group and will have similar margins / discount they give. Try a wider search and various groups (Sytner, Inchcape, Gilder etc)

If no luck then I understand DtD are reliable and trustworthy, after all, they only put you in touch with a franchised Audi dealer who is willing to sell at that level of discount.

Or ask people on here who got discounts for recommendations

Where are you in the UK?

I quoted the Drive The Deal price to my local dealer - they didn't believe it was possible (about 10% discount) and outright refused to match it. Their loss.
There are fantastic deals on Q5's at the moment so keep plugging away.

Cheers Guys...
I'm in Huddersfield, so I understand that Sytner have about 4 dealers nearby.
Sheffield is the nearest different group to me. And they seem much keener to make a sale than the people Ive spoken to so far.

So far... dealers had offered no discount at all - Drive the Deal have offered over 10%... enough for me to add a few other options and still be under budget.
I mentioned drive the deal to one dealer and he said he would struggle to get near to their price, but did start discussing discounts with me - we got to about 3% which is way off.

Well, after sitting in the showroom and saying "I'll place the order now if you match this quote (from drive the deal)", I was shocked when they discussed it and came back and accepted.

I guess your right - a good dealer will match the price.

Hi Ian
I also changed from a TT to the 2013 Q5, Certainly a different beast in many ways.

Discounts are 13/14% just quote drive the deal and broadspeed to your dealer

Enjoy your Q5

Try Lincoln audi , they're part of the JCT 2000 group and are very good!

I used Carfile and it so happened that they also used my own local dealer, so the very easy deal was done at 9%. I also am moving from a 2008 TT TDI Quattro to a Q5
