As you know ive got a Q5 on order, its turning into a nightmare, suspension changes still not confirmed, i have just been told i'll have to foot the bill if VAT rises. I'm getting sick of the double standards and crap service so am considering cancelling my order with the broker, the last straw being the deliver time is now estimated at October rather than sept i was told.

Not happy!

So, does anyone know of any dealers with allocation available for september who are willing to do a deal?

smo,

I don't see that happening. When I was talking with dealers, the nearest build time the Audi production technical bulletin quoted was November (possibly longer if you've got S-tronic due to supplier issues) if ordered in May. The other problem you'll run into is the 2% price rise coming into effect today...

Unfortunately it might be better the devil you know..

Just been told my build is not week 33 as i was told, but now week 43....and also im expected to pay the 2% price rise audi implemented today.

I kicked off in a big way and as a "good will gesture" they will pay the 2% on my behalf, little conselation when the car is 3 months later than the 6 month wait i was expecting.

Great...just bloody great. Absolutly fuming right now

Not a great advert for using brokers over directly to a dealer - Probably only a problem when demand is exceeding supply as appears to be the case with the Q5?

You must be extremely dissapointed - I hope you can sort something out !

Thing is finding the same spec is impossible, even getting close doesnt seem likely. Also second hand ones are asking silly money. I refuse to pay more than the new cost for a used vehicle, im not in that game - if i was i'd buy an aston/ferrari etc.

I've had one on order for months now as a replacement for my company car. Originally I'd have had a 2 month over lap in my favour where I'd still have had the company car but no car allowance to pay for the Q5 which isn't a problem. However I got called by my Audi garage this morning saying the build dat was now back to November, which means I'll have no car for a month as I can't keep my company car passed september. I'd also have to pay the 2% price rise.

So, it's goodbye Audi Q5 for me. If this is the service I get from Audi I won't be coming back. Typical though, as I only signed up for this site yesterday, I was so excited :-(

The sales guys voice on the phone was a classic, it sounded like he pretty much thought I'd just suck up the 2% price increase and put up with the wait he genuinly sounded shocked when I said that I'd have to cancel the order. He asked if I wanted time to think about it and I said no, it's not a case ofthinking about it, I can't be without a car for a month. The offer of a loan car from them would be good, but I expect they think the delivery date may slip even further and don't want to commit a loaner to me.

The only problem I have now is that there aren't any real alternatives out there, anyone got a suggestion?

Try Oxford Audi.

When I first started looking in April they told me they had a few on order to various spec levels due for delivery this autumn. Only reason I didn't go with them is that it's too far away to cycle to, now that I haven't got a car for 8 months.

I'm now trying to decide if I should run the risk of buying a private 60 registration for my anticipated delivery in December or will it end up being a 11 delivery in March. My wife tells me it's a waste of money.
