Yeah... I'm liking it a lot... The wife less so... A bit to shouty. Must remember its her car!
Just checking how it would impact delivery, but given its already going the 'exclusive' route I'm hoping the impact would be minimal.
Watch this space!

I was told ordering an exclusive colour would affect my delivery date. It did not, my SQ5 was delivered in Misano Red ahead of schedule. I can relate to your wife's feeling about having an understated vehicle. My wife hated driving my old Cosworth. At every set of lights some hoodie in a go faster escort would want to race.

Will do buddy. Thanks.

yes very nice and similar to Seepang which i saw at Coulsdon audi. If you can afford it, then it is a nice colour.

Stuck with Estoril. Added another 4 weeks to delivery on racing Mika. The wife preferred Estoril.
Maybe get racing Mika on my next car.

I was in the same boat - I liked Sepang, wife wanted Midnight which looked very dull so we eventually compromised on Estoril and yes its her car!

I think because it's a diesel and understated ;-) well thats my wives reasons anyway! She doesn't want economical and nothing that is going to attract TOO MUCH attention from van drivers (long story short we had an Aston Rapide for a weekend a month back and while she was driving some van drivers flashed their headlights for a race > w*nkers in a 2.2 cDi van seem to think they can beat a 6L V12).
Funnily enough during our test drive a van driver tried racing the SQ5 but I don't think the wife saw otherwise that would be an immediate turn off ! Hehe

Actually it also seems like in the US Q5/SQ5s are like the Evoque here in the UK; quite common cars especially now it's out with the TFSI engine. Here the SQ5 demand numbers are very high, however Q5 numbers in general seem to be so much lower- which is a good thing! Snowman do you happy to know why? Because waiting lists are so long and yet I don't see many a day... Makes us have more exquisite vehicles

Hmmm, Q5 def not popular over in the US (I'm there right now) where as in the UK I would see maybe 10-20 on a typical day (many more if I hit the mway) here I've seem 1. Audi in General is a low volume maker in the US.

As for the question I don't know, but my guess would be sales numbers were declining/flat on the Q, when AG looked at the markets no increase was given this year for the UK and other markets got a larger slice of the cake. SQ, I don't know the numbers sold but I don't think its earth shattering. Where as you get a distorted view looking on forums as most owners don't do this stuff. Plus despite what the news and some groups say we have def turned the corner over the recession and people are buying again.

I think it's marketed at blokes looking for a car for the wife/family that they can enjoy driving... That's my purchasing logic anyway!
It's not MY ideal car, but I'll enjoy driving it when on family duties lol

I know I'm going to kick myself for not going Racing Mika...

New RS3 next year which could be my next car...

Ah my mistake Snowman I meant Canada, my brother lives out in Vancouver...poor error mixing US and Canada up, better keep a low key for all the Americans/Canadians on here ;-)

Excellent choice - I was thinking Racing Mica or Sepang for either an S3 Sportback or RS3 next year - will dismiss the RS3 if its auto only as I only got the SQ5 past the boss on the promise of a manual small car

To be honest any colour on an SQ5 is not understated, it's an eye catching car ;-)
Maybe Misano red is just an anomaly hehe
