Would be interested to know what sort of discounts peolpe have been able to get on the Audi Q5.

I asked for and was offered 5% off the book price, so thats ?1750 if your spending ?35k, but it was a bit too easy and suspect i could have got more. Has anyone done better than this?

These are desperate times and i'm surprised Audi are not offering some discounts or complimentary options upfront.

i've just sold my 2005 A4 Avant -
and am going to my audi dealer this week to see what i can get (timing is perfect - end of the month!)

Drive the deal is giving ?2420 off an s line Q5 at the moment, so that might help your bargaining.

The only reason i'm concerned about getting a good discount is so that i can afford to put the proper climate control in and the technology pack!!

I'll let you know how i get on!

Thats a pretty good discount Simon, I saw the spec you ordered on the OTHER Q5 forum, I just wish i could afford the tech pack! your spec looks good though - tech pack and panoramic!!

I'm going to my dealer on Saturday to thrash out a deal, my dealer says he's sold nearly all SE models as people don't reckon the S line is worth it. Unfortunately for me he's having a good month, but it's the sales manager i'm friendly with so i'm hoping to beat your 6.5%!

Thanks, went for 2.0 Tdi S-tronic S-line, Daytona Grey pearl metallic, Tech pack, Heated front seats, Rear bench plus, Tyre pressure monitors, Hill hold assist, 3-zone climate, Cruise, Interior light pack, Panoramic roof, Privacy glass, Folding mirrors.
Discount paid for Tech pack otherwise probably wouldn't have had it.

i can't decide on spec, so far I have gone for 2.0Tdi S Line manual, heated seats, hill hold, light and storage pack, AMI, collapsible spare wheel (i really don't like the look of that foam stuff!), 3 zone climate (why is this not standard!), rear bench seat plus, phone prep low and parking plus. I am considering adding cruise and electric boot open/closer, and maybe B&O.

The problem at the moment is the wife prefers the A6 Avant, which is less flash (her opinion!), thankfully she has left it up to me to decide as I will be the main driver, but shes got me doubting which to go for at the moment. I intend to phone on Monday to confirm model and spec - anybody want to help me decide spec and whether Q5 or A6 Avant 2.0tdi Multitronic Le Mans?

Amack71 - Q5, as per your spec/options - only one I'd exclude is the auto boot open/close - really don't think this is worth the cost. I'm sure you'd get used to it quickly, but I used it a few times on dealership visits and a test drive and I always automatically interfered with the auto close! Really not much effort to open/close the boot yourself!

My best quotes so far after 2 weeks of discussions, are -

Broker = 8.8% ( gets quotes from dealer contacts, very professional & helpful)
best dealer = 8.5%

This is for a Q5 2.0TDi SE manual with met paint, sunroof, heat seats, lumbar, AMI, rear airbags, lightpack, towbar, light pack, hill hold
Anybody got any tips to better these discounts?

Best I can squeeze from a local dealer here in NI is 6.7% and that's only after I quoted another forum member's price (amack71). Prior to this they had stuck at 5.3%. Problem is that they have an Audi monopoly here in NI. They are also quoting September delivery!

I have a few prices from brokers, albeit I'd rather buy local if possible. I called Glasgow Audi the other day and quoted the 5.3% that I was then being quoted locally - they took my number but never even bother calling back.

DrivetheDeal 6.1%
Broker4Cars 8%
Broadspeed 8.7%
Car-Finance Net 8.9%

Also got a pdf quote from AudiBroker.co.uk but (strangely) it doesn't give the price of the vehicle - just the spec and the the monthly payments under a PCP plan. No lead time specified, but they actually list some models that they claim to have in stock.

Yep, i've also been told that the 2.0 diesel s-tronic won't be available for delivery until September at the earliest!!
Just don't think i've got the patience to wait that long
, may go for my second choice of a bmw 5 series ...

My car was listed at $49,800 USD and I got them down to $46,700 (which is under invoice). They also threw in some free rubber mats, and free oil changes... I found out the oil change was an awesome giveaway since the quattro since burns through oil comparatively fast.

After months of deliberation, my orders finally in, managed to get a 10% discount from my local dealership. Have gone for a 2.0 tdi, stronic, s-line, daytona grey, std 19" alloys, drive select with damper control, sunroof, tech pack, storage pack, folding mirrors, rear sliding seats, privacy glass, bluetooth low, boot tray, autoglym, for ~?35k. Now just waiting for the days to pass till delivery sometime in Sept!
