Hi, my Q5 arrive last week. Whilst driving around getting use to the car I though there must be a digital speed display. Given the analogue Speedo goes up to 180 MPH it is not so good for urban driving.

I could not find a MPH display on the DIS by changing the function button on the end of the wiper switch. So finally read the manual and apparently the reset switch on the wiper stalk toggles between trip computers and other functions, in addition to performing trip resets. One option is digital speed display. Hurrah!

So the reset label is not very informative if you are like me and don?t read the manual until the last resort you would not expect it to perform the function it does. I guess most people have read the manual and found this out butI though that I would post this just in case anyone has missed this nice feature.

Nice find, I'll try this on my car.

It worked. You need go to average speed of the trip and press reset button (maybe couple of times). And the display still shows other info besides speed (e.g. "real time" fuel consumption per 100km in my case), but in smaller font.

Agree with you about the speedo, having the whole legal speed range in the first third and 30 MPH barely off the stops is more than a little odd - like they use the same instrument on every car, bit poor really
