I have just purchased a Nextbase 412GW Dash cam for my SQ5 and I am really struggling to legally mount it without it being unsightly.

If you have a Dash Cam, where do you LEGALLY mount yours?

Does it obstruct the sensor on the back of the rearview mirror? Which make and model do you have?

2014 2.0 TDI sline plus. Nope it doesn't. The sensor works perfectly fine. I also have the nexbase dashcam. Mine is hardwired to the main fuse.

How did you run the hard wire kit, still need to do mine, I have the next base 512g ultra and it is place behind rear view mirror, Just need to sort out the hard wiring side, what fuse position did you use.

My cable runs inside the headliner were it joins the windscreen, tucked in to the top by the airbag and down the rubber door seal in to the fuse box.

I've done mine exactly the same way. Nexbase sell their own hardwire kit which plugs directly into the fuse box. Cost 15quid from halfords.
