Decided to purchase a Q5 but wondering to add comfort key to my order.

What is good about comfort key? Can I leave the key in my pocket if I will press the push/start button.

Hope someone can help me on this. thks

Hi,
You can leave the key in your pocket when you enter and exit and you will just need to push the stop start button. As for being good i think its just personal preference.

When you lock the car by brushing the handle, you have about 5 seconds in which you can grab the handle and give it a pull to check that it is locked without actually unlocking the car again.

Nope I haven't looked for this option in VAG-COM - it has never really presented itself as enough of an issue to warrant looking for it. Certainly, when you brush the handle to lock, the indicators flash which is usually enough of an indication for me.
Next time I'm in with the VAG-COM I'll see what I can find.

It's one and the same.....but you are correct it is actually called Advanced Key.

I beleive the ignition slot is still in the dash in case it is needed. But someone will confirm soon.
