has anyone bought a rubber boot liner for their car and if so can you recommend one. I looked at one from towequipe and they sell two. One is cheaper and plastc and the other rubber.

Thanks
We bought the Audi one it fits in the boot just covering the area with the seats up and with no fold out flap to cover the bumper. It fits fine with cut outs for the fixing eyes.just one thing to remember is make sure you get the right one depending on wether you have the load fixing bar installed.

On my A6 I bought the reversible mat for the boot, which was ?70 as an option I think...and it did nothing but sit in the boot for 3 years.

With my Q5 my frugal side (read tight!) kicked in and I did something a bit different. I took measurements of the boot size including the curve on the rear edge, found an off cut of grey hard wearing carpet, close in colour to the boot linings, took that to a firm that bound the edges of carpet along with the measurements. Hey presto, custom made boot liner for ?22.

Just another idea for the mix....

What is the one in the factory options like

I ordered it without really thinking about it.
Now starting to think I might have been better off getting one of the rubber ones with the small lip around the edge. I intend on putting a custom built twin dog cage on top of it most of the time.

Any thoughts

That looks pretty good.

I prefer to have my two German Spitz Klein's in a cage. Much safer for them and us. So will have to get a new cage made due to the sloping tail gate.
