Hi

Does anyone know anything about Bluetooth connection? I have MMI high and have bonded my iPhone to it. It states in the manual that once bonded you don't need to have bluetooth activated on your phone, but the system doesn't pick the phone up without the bluetooth activated.

Any suggestions?

It sounds like the manual may have a printing error,as far as i know theres no way the phone will connect without the bluetooth switched on,on the phone.perhaps it should read once bonded you dont need to re-bond.

Yep - agree with Rich. You must have bluetooth radio enabled on phone. I think what the manual may mean is that you don't have to re-pair everytime. Once you have paired with the car, the connection seems pretty seamless, certainly with Iphone 3GS and Nokia 6700 that we use.

I've read some poor reviews which are putting me off at the moment.

Also looking at N97 mini or iphone 4 (Tbh...Don't really need all it's features)

Josh, i think ,most phones will work with bluetooth will work but im not a specialist !!

Josh - I have the 6700 Classic (I think there is a slider version too?)

I tend to go through handsets pretty quickly and the 6700 has been fine. It's got a stainless steel back and surround so its fairly robust. Downsides are; the display is small and buttons a bit fiddly. As I use a Blackberry Bold for all "smart" functions, I can't comment on email and web usage but I doubt it is up to much in this area. I think its been around a few years, so probably better out there now.
