Hi Hoggy,I'm just trying to raise a maintenance budget for the pending Q5 and wonder if anyone has had a quote for 20" tyres?
I have tried my local guy and he said he would have to order them in as a special?![]()

High RichHi Hoggy,
just had a look on tyre shopper bridgestone d-sport ?262 a piece,goodyear eagle f1 ?345 a piece
Blackcircles ?201 for the same bridgestone or ?252 for michelin latitude sport.
Hope this helps,I am still trying to work out what to do when mine turns up.
Rich
have been getting about 10000 out of michelin and bridgestone on A4 cab, sure someone is stealing rubber off them when its parked upYep - Blackcircles.com was the best I could do when I did a "what if" the other day.
As Rich says, ?201 for the Bridgestone D-Sport HPs as fitted OEM on 20".
I am really hoping to get a good 15k out of a set - which means 18 months at current mileage rate.

Hi HoggyHi Windmill
That looks good, thanks for that!
It's always worth shopping around, my local Audi dealer will match Kwik Fit Prices - just waiting for KF to get back to me.
You do have to be careful who you go use though, I once saw a KF fitter trying to smack the rear wheel off a BMW with a 6' scaffold pole - I must have looked shocked-he just laughed and said they are well rusted on mate! Glad it wasn't my alloys!![]()

I have to agree that Michelins are harder wearing but found that can suffer the performance in the wet. As for costs if you have Continentals at ?156 and they last 10000 miles the Michelins to work out at the same cost per mile based on a price of ?234 would need to do an extra 5,000 to be the same cost. I can't see us getting 50% more miles between Continental and Michelin. After my experience of Continentals on the RRS I found them to be very soft rubber with a poor wear rate.
Michelins have always been better wearing tyres.
What about Hankook Ventus. Don't know if they do that size but supposed to be very good tyres.
Maintenance contract may be worth considering![]()
