Hi - as SteveMcB it would be best to get the car scanned. My last car had exactly the same problem ( non Audi ). Revs fluctuated and would drop stopping at a juction and depressing the clutch. Sometimes the engine would cut out but most times it stuttered then the revs would go back up to slightly higher than normal when standstill on a warm engine. The fault was the Lambda oxygen sensor on the manifold. Looks similar to a spark plug and was changed in 5 mins. Still better to get the car scanned rather than throw parts at it which do not need replaced. Hope you get it sorted
