We have an Audi Q5 TDI (2014) with the roof racks and have recently purchased a canoe. I am trying to find a way to tie down the bow and stern of the canoe to the car. I get a really good and tight connection strapping directly to the roof rack, but I want to keep the canoe from moving around under high speeds or windy conditions. Audi's website isn't turning up results, nor did a call to our dealer.
I ordered this, thinking that it would fit. However, I'm not too keen on drilling holes into a car with less than 3000 miles on it.

When I look under the car, everything seems to be under a sheet of plastic. Does anyone know of a solution?
