Hi I'm looking to change from a 3.0 tdi Touareg to a Q5,

I know about the Q5 3.0tdi but has anyone heard of the 4.2 tdi or the 4.0 v8

being stuffed in to a Q5?

the Touareg has been great for nearly 5 yrs just fancy a change / downsize.

Not read anything about the 4.2 getting into the Q5 recently, however there was talk of it before launch.

The 4.2 tdi will be used in the new touareg available from august

lets hope it will also be lined up fot the Q5.

The Q5 is probably a good 500kg or more lighter than the Toureg so the 3.0TDI turns out to be quite a spritely thing with a claimed 0-100km/h sprint of 6.5 sec.

The 4.2TDI engine in the Q5 would be one potent prime mover!
