Hi,

I've got an ipod connected to AMI via the official lead, yet almost 50% of the time when I start the car it says that AMI cannot read the connected device. The other 50% of the time it reads it fine. I've tried different ipods and checked the connection etc but still the problem persists. Is this likely to be a faulty lead or are other owners experiencing the same thing?

No problems with mine at all - are the connections firmly home? I noticed when you push the iPod into the tray, the cable that loops behind it becomes quite restricted - although if you have tried with numerous devices, it sound like a fault - a dealer job then?
