Here we go,

I am new here as many may notice, but have been lurking & learning for a while
I am about to sign for the following (I'm in the UK)

Q5 S-Line 2.0 TFSI Quattro
S-tronic
Phantom black
privacy glass
Nappa leather- black
Comfort pack (cruise control, electric tailgate, Bluetooth)
Technology Pack (High)
Storage pack
Interior light pack
Audi parking advanced pack

The dealer says - March/April 2011 delivery, which is when i wanted the car to start with

My wife's birthday & time to save

I am no audiophile - so didn't bother with the sound package, especially with the S-Line's better audio system than standard cars.
Did i miss some must have options?! What would they be. The car will do low mileage (10,000 per year) and will be mainly driven on city roads - minimum motorways.

Your advise is welcome both in terms of specs as well as colour combination

Thanks

Thanks Kaine
It was difficult to resist some other options, but i had to stay within budget

I was particularly in two minds between upgrading the 19" alloys to 20" or not?! But i read some reviews about the ride being hard as it is,
(to the extent that Audi themselves made the Sport Suspension a no cost option on the S-Line) - so decided to stick with the 19"

The nappa leather is a good upgrade

Rich
The only reason i went for the nappa (Despite not seeing/feeling it in person) was that the car i test drove had the standard Milano leather, which felt hard and cheap for a premium car like this

So i decided on nappa in the hope it'll be much softer & richer - let's hope i'm right.

The Alcantra is better than the Milano leather in my opinion

Just to future proof - I think about adding the DAB option if you listen to the radio lots? If you miss it now, it's a PITA to retro fit.

I would say DAB is very essential to future proof beyond 2015.

Did you consider the concealed factory tow bar.....useful for carrying bikes oh and towing I suppose...

Both of these options are apparently very expensive to retrofit. So if you're going to do it it's got to be now.

Thanks all for the advise

I listen to FM - there is a misconception that when analogue is switched off, FM will be off too
http://www.digitalradiotech.co.uk/dab/fm_switch-off.htm

I never use the car to towing, and if i did i'd definitely buy a diesel and in particular the 3.0 TDi; so a tow bar is an unnecessary expense for me.

Good luck with the 6%,the way the Q5's are selling it might not be that easy.
If the OP is willing to wait until March/April 2011 for delivery, he may as well go through a broker. The usual suspects (inc drivethedeal) are offering Q5s again at around 6% off list.

I'd agree that it would be difficult if he was looking to pick something up from a dealer with earlier unsold allocation - but not for 9 months from now!

Indeed, went through a broker for 8% discount
