Just wondering if anyone has curbed their 21" alloys on their SQ5 yet and had to pay out for a repair? more importantly how much did it cost?

Touch wood mine are still fine and I have no intention of getting them damaged however the misses will be using the car too and I'm just working out what the cost would be VS going down for a murder charge?

The Dunlops have MDS rip protection system - I have been run off the road and up a kerb and was expecting a HUGE scrape - but no damage.

Just a big black rubber smear that rubbed right off where the tyre deforms around the rim to protect it.

I've also had 2-3 minor parking kerb scrapes and also no damage - the tyres really seem to do the job.

I know that fixing any damage will be EXPENSIVE because of the 2 tone paint job on them including a white pinstripe between the colours - not easy to touch up...

Did anyone get the Tyre & Alloy insurance?

£300 for 10 alloy wheel repairs/curbings over the course of 3 years.

Seemed a good deal to me!
