2019 Q5, lock button won't lock door when leaving the car

Bought a Q5, my first Audi, and found out the lock button on front door does not work as all my previous cars.
I had/have driven about 10 different brand/model vehicles, all of them can lock by press the lock button. Audi is the only one can't lock.

Is this designed to be, why design like this?

Hi Jon,

Never had this problem as always when needed to lock the doors from the inside using the lock switch on the driver door - always been perfect. I've had several different Audi's over the past few years including courtesy cars when in for services etc.

If you're still having issues get it checked out as it shouldn't be as you're describing ????????

I experienced the same thing on my 2023 Q5. Don’t know why
