Used to be available in the myaudi app. Seems to have been removed.
Can't find anything else which I would trust to be safe online. There are downloads for audi vin code checks which would reveal options fitted, but I wouldn't be downloading stuff I'm not 100% sure of.
Audi dealer is the safest bet.

OK. The switch on the door deactivates the internal sensors when you lock doors, setting the alarm, in case you want to leave a dog or similar in whilst you leave the car locked. Likewise if you wish to leave the windows slightly ajar.
Pulling the gearstick back to go into Sport mode only affects revs and gears.
Dynamic alters steering and gears. Be aware unless you have adaptive suspension using dynamic will install the fault code 'no adaptive suspension module fitted' , doesn't cause a problem (and not visible on my carista, but will show up on full vcds). You can disable the suspension setting within Audi Drive Select, which I have done, eliminating the error code.

Nothing untoward happens if you leave it plugged in.
The changes are effective when you select them. The remain until you change them again, whether you leave it plugged in or not.
Most changes I effected were done within the free trial. No subscription.
Subsequently when I have used it I have paid a month subscription, then cancelled so it isn't ongoing.
So in my 5 years of ownership I have paid for 2 months. First free for majority of tweaks, then a couple of times for fault finding, resetting of service indicator and reversing changes I didn't like. e.g. needle sweep.
My favourites are Start/stop reversal (always off unless I press the button), bleep on lock/unlock and Audi Drive Select option - I use 'economy' mode mostly.
Other options that don't require subscriptions I only know of the full vcds which is way more expensive.

OK. Start stop. Yes it is a bind to have to deactivate every time. I used a carista obd plug in. This allowed me, on my model, to reverse the sequence. It is always off and I press the switch to activate it when I want it.

Welcome.
Searching the car reviews, written and video give a good insight.
Asking topic related questions on forums can help.
Sit in the car, read the manual, follow the steps. Repeat.
Read the manual, go sit in the car, forgot!
I have come to the realisation that at a certain age some options don't warrant the IT skills necessary to activate them. Just a helping hand to turn them off, sometimes.
What specifically would you like an answer to? Otherwise just enjoy.
