Rear seat removal & headrests Q5 2021

I have something rolling around under my rear seat and is making me nuts How do I get the seats out, I can't find it anywhere for this year 2021.

I also put my rear seats up and down a ton so I want to remove the headrest, how do I get hose out?

I don't know how to remove the seats on a Q5. On my A4 you could yank up hard on the front edge of the seat bases. There were clips that would need replacing. There are also various holes in the chassis construction which I could see when first looking at Q5's and I did have a concern about small items dropping into them.

Headrest removal is simple as attached

Since my post above I've also taken delivery of a MY24 Q5. I've tried everything I can find to remove the front headrests and no joy so far :(

I'm having the same challenge. Yesterday I took my Q5 2024 to the service centre. After a few people attempted to remove the headrest, I was advised that it is not possible. This applies to the front and passenger seats only. Back seats can be removed with the ignition key.

Not possible to me means they don't know. If a headrest was accidently cut or mismanufactured, there's no way I can see them replacing a whole seat.

HI, did you get this sorted, I have the same issue... like a marble in a tube.... cheers
